yup

don't like the trunk - looks too cluttered with all the badges.
wish it would finally come with a rear wiper
front bumper looks like it needs something
other than that, they're saying it's the best imprezza so far.(although i still favor the P1 and 22B)

I actually saw one of these last Sunday when I went to Ron Price to check out cars (went to Carlsen after to check it out, but they didn't have any 06's). Anyways, I saw a black STi 06' w/ all the goodies. I must say it looks very nice and looks MUCH better in person. It was right next to a 05 WRX Sedan as a matter of fact.

The 06 front end looks much more aggressive, even with that rhombus shape thing in the middle. However, the back looks nicer on the 05 since the Altezza style lights on the 06 doesn't float my boat. Also, the badging is better IMO on the 05.

Agreed. I'd take the 22b over any other impreza any day.

Totally agree, plus the taillights. 22B was the best period - I will always want one and make my GM6 coupe try to be one if I can afford it one day.

To me the front is meh.. Like, it just seems like a bold move in styling now that people trust the basis (WRX/STi) more than anything really good or bad. Seems more like a business decision than a style change. FWIW, I think it's pretty weird looking but I would sport a dark grey one if I had disposable cash.

Dunno, I liked the first generation and the restyle instantly. I LOVED the 22B first time I saw it. I remember it - I was living in England at the time. Someone brought a brand new one from delivery to a Skyline GT-R meet and stole the show. Nuts. I liked the bugeye when I saw it as well, though it has a reputation for being hated. Anything after that '04+ I didn't like because the '04 restyle was touted as simply something thrown together and done to gain back the customers that were turned off by the bugeye, and to increase sales. To me, they could have brought back the Impreza spirit and made it look like an updated GM6.. Like - it makes the Bugeye seem like the last special or meaningful one if you take stuff like that too seriously. Either way, for me it's all about the GM6 coupe and prolly always will be.
