2006 San Jose Grand Prix

Who's going?

I'm really hoping they widen the track and smooth it out so the drivers can feel comfortable enough to pass this time. But other than that, I'm interested in going.

i just happen to work for the company paving the track. there are some changes of the layout.... but the drivers are not goin to be very happy because no matter what it is still goin to be bumpy. you have to remember that these are city streets and it can not be perfect.

I understand that the bumps can never be removed, but how about moving the chicane so the light rail tracks aren't smack in the middle of the curve?

it is being fixed, that is goin to be one straight... they are moving pit lane to the lane against the covention center. it should smooth it out a tiny bit... still goin to be rough though.

Didn't half the cars withdraw with broken suspension last year after jumping over the railroad tracks?

I went last year and loved seeing "street" cars, since they were actully passing, and having diffrent cars, so they behaved diffrently. My uncle is big into champ cars, so he got 10 tix again this year, so I will be going again.

From what I have been told, it will be a long straight away now, no little turn. The track will pass in front of the stands, and the pits will be on the other side of the street. They are widing the turns, and taking out some palm trees to allow more room.

I can not wait to go, again.

The San Jose circuit is a joke....poor old Bourdais having to drive on such a sub-standard circuit.
