My car is at LA Smith and Sons (bodyshop in San Leandro) for front end damage.. They put an '05 smoked headlamp on the right side claiming that it is the part number for my '04 WRX Wagon..

Can someone find the part number for the '04 and '05 headlamp unit? Can I get a link so I can print it out for them?

And another thing, the headlamp that came new with my car is really hazzy.. It's almost like someone smeared wax all over it.. I tried using plastic polish but that didn't do anything.. I let it go for a while since it didn't bug me too much.. But now comparing it with the brand new '05 one installed, I really need to replace it..

How do I go about getting it warrantied by subaru? Car was purchased in May from Subaru of Santa Cruz.. I just got into a fender bender.. They won't blame the haze on that would they? And would I be able to keep the '05 light from the body shop and tell subaru to replace the hazzy one with a new '05..

 

your dealer doesnt have to know that you got into a fender bender. just give them crap and find someone cool that works there to help you out. say that its a hazard and youre scared to drive home at night. if their customer service is close to carlsen's then it should be no problem.

man...just call up a couple dealerships' parts department and ask em for the part number.
