I'm going to get a set of new rims, 17x8 or 17x8.5, if I get 17x8 i sure will get some 235/45/17 tires but if i get 17x8.5 then i will need some 245/45/17, but will the tires rub my front or rear fender? any suggestion ??

 

you can get 245/45/17 on 17x8 also.... roll ur fenders if they rub

245/40-17 is the right size.. i have those on my 17 x 8 tourques

 

yeah 245/40/17 is the size you want those are a touch shorter that stock, you dont want to run anything taller than stock if you have a 5 spees since your gearing is already tall. Im running 255/40/17s on 17X8.5s which is a bit taller but i have a JDM 6-speed so Im looking for a little more gear

shouldnt have to unless your car is way low.. im h&r springs and im not even close to rubbing
