Seriously, I've dealt with some irate customers in the past. It's actually more entertaining to remain calm and polite while they try to antagonize you because they get confused and give up on pissing you off. Getting irate back just escalates the situation, and as seen in the video, delays what needs to get done, raising the old guys blood pressure in the process too.

the girl was wrong for using profanity, but its a 9-1-1 call and there is an emergency so it has to be excused, at least until you find out what the situation is.
The moment that he used profanity he was in the wrong, no matter what she was saying, and he should be fired for that. He is lucky the guy didnt die because of his actions.

Hmm...I don't know.... This cop is a 20yr veteran with a spotless record. (Are they hiding something?)
Let's give him the benefit of a doubt and say that he really does have a spotless 20yr record and on that specific day/week, he was just going through a really tough time. Granted that considering the importance of his job, he should be taking time off. However, he is human after all and we all make human error. IF this was the case, does the guy still deserve to be fired?
For the record, I'm not necessarily defending the cop. Just playing devil's advocate and creating a scenario-based discussion.
In any case, if the guy does get fired over this, I would vote for him to get a customer service job at Fry's.
