17" wheels and tire pressure

I have a set of 17s on my car with Falken Azenis. In looking at the recommended tire pressure settings in the manual, it seems that low 30s is too low.

I ran an extensive search and found this:

"The stock WRX settings are 32 front, 29 rear. I assume the higher pressure in front is to offset the weight of the engine and shift some of the car's weight towards the back wheels.

I'd like to see some more discussion about this. 38 PSI for a road tire (not auto-x) seems extremely high, and would probably reduce the size of your contact patch with the road."

*********

What is the ideal pressure for 17s on a WRX Wagon? I am thinking 38 in the rear and 35 in the front.

Experienced advice appreciated

I am running 34 front and 28 rear on my Azeni Sports. I really like the way it's balanced with that setup. When I get the car back, I want to maybe raise it 4 or 5 lbs on all 4 corners and see how that works. I am on a tottally stock suspension otherwise.

35F/33R for street driving, actually if you look at the door panel it will tell you recommended tire pressure for 17 inch wheels. The one you were reading sounds like tire pressure for the stock 16's.
