100 Octane in San Jose

Does anyone know where to get this? I heard there was a 76 station somewhere that sells it...

so you pay an extra $20 for 7 measly points of octane? you can buy 3 bottles of octane booster for that, and it will give you a higher rating than 100 so you dont have to use the whole bottle each time.

though some people have had luck with octane boosters, I really have not seen any anything significant from them and in my mind they are a waste of money. ive heard from some other people that they sluge up the engines as well. word of mouth so dont quote me on that. plus, its 9 octane higher for us since we are in california. 91 + 9 = 100

and those 9 "measly" points of octane have been proven to add as much as 10-20 whp on some cars. so I can see how it is worth spending that much per gallon.

Only assuming that the car has been tuned to run on 100 octane. You will not gain 10-20 hp by just throwing 100 in a stock car.

Actually, octane boosters that you buy at your car parts store will never get you close to 100 octane. those "points" that they claim to raise is not based on the same scale as your standard octane. raising 3-5 "points" does not mean it will necessarily turn 87 octane into 92.

here is a good article to start your research with. Although there is plenty of other stuff out there that is good reading as well.

oh, well i used to mix race gas with normal gas for my dirtbike, then i just decided to use octane booster. felt the same and no pinging noises. i guess its different with 280cc's
Ive used acetone with no ping or knock, heard it makes it harder to ignite i think it works. $1 at walmart

The STI pings on hot days with 91 octane thats why i want to mix in 100.

I figure with 12 gallons of 91 + 4 gallons of 100 probably have it run super smooth.
