-1 for Ron Price
this afternoon i was on my way to a buddies house in SSF and decided to stop at Ron Price since its on the way and i want to get back into a Subaru. i had my sights set on an 07 UGM non-TR WRX sedan sitting outside. after waiting for 20 minutes for a salesperson ( which included walking thru the showroom, and sitting in an imaculate Spec. B RIGHT IN FRONT OF A SALESPERSON PLAYING AROUND ON HIS PC IN HIS OFFICE!!! ) i walked up to the front counter and asked for service. when they called the salesman i waited another 5 minutes, only to find out that the only salesman on duty was th guy playing games. rudely, he asks if i need service, and i told him that i want to check out the UGM WRX outside. he informs me that the owners' service writer drove it as his demo, and it had 4409 miles on the odo reflecting that. i looked over the car and didnt see a single thing out of place, and sat in the driver's seat. everything was going smoothly, until he mentions that they "cannot test drive a turbo-equipped car because they dont want to wear out the bearings" it not like im some punk 18-year old kid going out for joyrides.
i replied " excuse me? it already has over 4k miles on it. im supposed to contemplate on a future purchase that requires a large sum of money on the assumption that i will like it, regardless of the fact that i may not? what if i fill out a credit app?" to which he replied with a simple "no"
oh well, ill just deal with Carlsen. i believe they arent afraid of helping a customer.

You should have asked him to specify. I'd like a new 06/07 WRX TR, but No car payments > car payments
i bought mine at carlsen. they were awesome ^_^
tappan was my sales person...big fat white guy....he's pretty cool. i parked and then got out...right away i spotted my baby!! as soon as i started eyeing the car...someone came right out. he offered to get the keys for me, asked me if i wanted to test drive...all that good stuff.
but theeeeen i had an issue with the car a little while after i got it...a stupid issue that i would rather not say cuz i feel so stupid about it
i didnt wanna drive all the way to redwood city obviously so i went down to ron price. i walked around for a long time...yeah im a dumbass...i didnt know where to go. not a single person said "can i help you?" or nothin! i had to go ask the people in the showroom. o.O AND! when i was at carlsen awhile ago...and i saw a license plate frame that i HELLA wanted. so i went to the parts dept and they said "we arent carrying it right now...but we can order it. go ask ron price in SSF...they might have it on hand....if not...call us and we'll order it for you." so i went to ron price and FIRST they said they didnt even know what i was talking about...then they told me they dont even make it...without even looking it up....****heads. so i just ordered it from carlsen.
so...-1 ron price +1 carlsen

Thats weird when I was in the market for my suby, about a year and a half ago, I went to Ron Price and they let me test drive a brand new WRX and an STi. They even pulled the STI off the showroom floor so I could drive it. I'm guessing the dude was just lazy and didnt want to leave his computer game.

the only reason i bought my car at ron price was because no one else was coming close to their price at the time. i consider it one of thoes dealerships where you get the car and never go back for anything.
I was at Ron Price on Saturday and got the opposite treatment from the salesmen. I went in for a quote on the 15K service and a possible upgrade to an 08. I asked about 08 models and he tried to sell me the demo WRX. He asked if I wanted a test drive. I told him no thanks, but whats up with the 07 Spec B. He offered me a test drive in that too. I was so tempted. It's still -1 cause they tried to charge 320 for an oil change and tire rotation.
