I'm warming up to the sedan with the STI trimmings but yep just like everone says the hatch and sedan do look like the Focus.

Was there ever a year that we were ever 'wowed' by the redesign? I think it'll just take time to accept.

I was just joking around...since there is a lot of consensus that new Subaru styling is somewhat derivative and THAT unique as prior years, so I just wanted to see what would happen if the badges were to be swapped...as a kind of experiment to see if people would be fooled by that...I was not serious about it.

I would probably have to agree that none of the years were 'wow' as compared to say Auston Martin redesigns...but IMHO they were always 'wow' in terms of being unique and always recognizable on the road many blocks away...

Also a likely possibility and I would expect nothing less from technology 3 years newer than mine...

I am looking forward to seeing how it will respond to mods and tuning. '09 has a bigger turbo charger and more boost, which is the reason for its power increase. I am not sure what to think though considering the block and transmissions are carryovers (I think). In theory with all of factory parts replaced with the same bold ons I have on my car (including the turbo and intercooler), I would think that it would be a much closer call than not...but if it is that much quicker, may be it will be time to start looking for a 2nd car

It's not all about straight line.

I think that's why I still keep my MR2 SC after all these years.
