Hey good news! my friend up in Alaska has decided to take a vacation down here. He is going to drive the car down for me. So he wants to go over and inspect the car, make sure its ready for the long drive to the bay. That should be OK yea? I could even have him have cash on hand and give it to whoever you wanted once the paperwork was all signed over.

 

Get me a custom title and lets run this **** into the ground!


That's not a bad idea! I thought about sending him a message to the effect of "The ebay agent hasn't responded to any of my questions yet. Any way I can just overnight fedex you cash for the car?"

 

go for the friend in Alaska thing, that way he is put on the spot but might not realise your on to him. Sound excited about it, that your friend is jazed to drive a subaru down and has already started his plans and sold his plane tickets.

Might be a little too forward for him. He'll just stop responding to me. If I want to drag it out, i'll have to keep him thinking that I'm just fine with the car being shipped and never meeting or speaking with him. Gonna really push for some photos though!

Here's a tip for ya: Folks who are in the military don't use their rank dealing with personal business. So if someone includes it in a e-mail its to try and deceive you. Pretty sad that people are trying to bank on americas trust of our military.

 

In addition to that, if someone calls them self SSgt (Staff Sergeant, E-5) and in the same email Tech Sergeant (E-6)... Yeah.

And who gets deployed for ONE MONTH. The whole thing was so incredibly obvious. But I'm still holding out for photos. Will send him an email tomorrow offering double if my "buddy" can pick it up.
