Ok I'm about to do a swap for a wingless 06 trunk and all I need to know is can you fully debadge that sucker? I remember reading something a while back where Subaru changed it so you can't remove the lettering any advise?

 

you cannot remove the subaru badge in the middle, you can debadge the letters though

 

You cannot debadge it without having it filled in. It's held in by two bolts. Your best bet is to find someone who wants to swap you for that badge. I know some people out there dig it.

Ok so I have the trunk on my car and looked at it from inside of the trunk behind the Subaru logo but do not see any bolts on holding it down? I'm not even sure if it is from an 06 because it had been swapped twice now. Could someone with an 06 tell me if they see two bolts behind emblem please.

 

yes, i have a 06, i swaped with someone else as well, i took everything off but the subaru emblem because there are two bolts, and yes i see the bolts, look harder lol =]

 

I swear I've looked and stuck my hand against the backside of the emblem and do not see or feel any bolts. Before I go ahead and rip it off how big are the bolts?
