06 sti not starting.. halp

I thought my original OEM battery was going to **** and it wouldn't start so i tried jump starting it but it didn't work. Went to auto zone and they tested it and said it was 100% charged but was a bad battery according to the tester. So I bought a replacement battery and installed it and it still wouldn't start. Tried jump starting that and still nothing. It cranks but doesn't turn over. What else could it be and what else can I do? I was thinking maybe I flooded the spark plugs? I don't have a voltmeter. Factory stereo and alarm system. Thanks in advance!!

how does it sound when its trying to start? Does it sound like the engine is getting enough power to turn over? Can you hear the fuel pump turning on when you turn the key on?

Sounds like your fuel pump is turning on by the video. It also sounds like your getting plenty of juice. I would try bypassing your clutch switch and see if it will start that way. Your clutch switch may be out. You can try making a jumper like in this thread to test

Its really just a wire come on man . Im guessing the sensor is just a closed circuit. You push the clutch in and the sensor opens the circuit so you might be able to test it with a volt meter/test light on the wire while pushing the clutch in and out.

Could be a few things, and thats an easy thing to check. How was the car running before all of this?

It wouldn't turn over if the clutch switch was an issue IMO

Pull coils out and check the coil function. If it has electrical arc then you have ignition power. If you hear the fuel pump priming then you'll have fuel in lines, check the spark plugs if they are fouled or flooded. If its flooded and your coil has electric arc then replace spark plugs.

Judging from your first vid i noticed the "security" light is on. Mine wont turn on every time that "security" light is on. Check your key, my chip fell off without me even knowing.

I made this video just now lol i hope it helps. Try re-setting the ECU or check your key if you still have the chip in there.

Ah that makes sense since it would be cutting the power off. Forgot about the chip in the key also.
