05 sti invoice
05 sti invoice
Hey guys-first post here.
I am taking a serious look at the sti and was wondering what invoice in the Bay Area is. I've seen a couple different numbers when searching.
I currently have an 01 Audi S4 and I think the sti may be the next car for me-I may wait a little and try to get a good deal during the 06 transition or just go for an 06 (though from pics the current model looks better to me).
I am just a few miles from Diablo Subaru-has anyone had a good experience with this dealer?
Thanks for any help!

Invoice is around 31,000 or so in this area (if I recall correctly) for an STI. Check edmunds.com and use the local zip code for that area (I don't know it off hand) - see what numbers they come up with. Should be pretty close to the actual invoice price, if not spot on.

Thanks for the quick replies! That's good info. They seemed willing to deal when I stopped by there last week.
I really need to just decide if I can live with the wing. I actually like it-always liked rally cars and the aggressive look. Wife and friends have a different opinion. It would be a change going from a relatively stealthy car.
The one thing I don't really get is the no test drive rule. I would think they could screen serious customers from joy riders. You can test drive m3s, s4s, etc. but not this one. It was kind of funny when the guy (nice guy by the way but his second day on the job) basically said I could test drive it if I buy it. I'd think so.

the wing is cool.
you'll get used to it. you'll learn the diff front profile of police cars better... lol...
btw, wait til the 06's are about to come out and get better prices for the 05, although dont know if the 1.9% APR deal is still going on...

there is a brand new STi at the Stevens Creek Honda dealership, you could probably work the hell out of them for a deal on that car.

I would never go there. Their car salesmen will lie to you to get a sale. my friend traded in his old rs for a wrx there. He told them everything that happened to it. big accident, insurance should have totalled it but they didn't. He said the car never drove right after that and still had some issues.
So I went in there a while after it had been there on the lot and talked to a salesman. I started asking all the basic questions. He told me about how they got it, how it drove perfect, nothing wrong, had never been in an accident, etc.
After that I just said, ok bye. I will never go there again.

never go into sales unless it's for an actual corporation where you might climb the ladder someday, or unless you are doing technical sales (the kind of sales that requires say an science/engineering degree aka you aren't bull****ting information about the product (like a lot of car salesmen tend to do) ). Of course not all salesmen are bad, but just think about it: If you don't sell, you starve. That mentality goes a long way in corrupting the minds of good men. And a lot of the more unskilled sales positions are heavily commission based, no?
