Officially, the story of the I-40 Bridge Imposter, William J. "Billy" Clark may be over as far as the Federal Government is concerned. Unfortunately, there still seems to be as many unanswered questions as answered. How did he happen on the scene and decide to impersonate an Army Officer is just one of them. The most nagging in my mind is why this happened where it did, next to a nuclear waste holding area with a barge out of control and no one knowing exactly why?

After a 2002 fatal bridge collapse in Oklahoma, Clark had showed up at the scene in combat fatigues and identified himself as an Army captain.
He conducted media interviews and gave orders to FBI agents for 2 1/2 days before getting caught. He served a five-year sentence before being released on probation in September.

You would have thought he would have learned his lesson, but looks like he is still at it. He actually had a T.A.F.B sticker in his vehicle. Ought to send him to Leavenworth for a few years and see if he still wants to pretend to be a special forces officer.

Military won't do anything about the TAFB sticker, but they should grab him. When I was in, we had to tell the powers that be on base when someone was imitating...as long as they don't do anything "officially" the military really doesn't care.
PS they do care about fake ID though.
