**Thank You Thread**
Months of planning, lots of phone calls, lots of emails, setting up an e-commerce site, negotiations, contracts, shopping, some setbacks, and a few challenges later, BAM XI is in the history books.
I have several people that I want to thank for their time, generous contributions, and work on behalf of the BAM organizers to help pull this together.
Fine Line Imports - Santa Rosa, CA
EQ Tuning - Fairfield, CA
Mann Engineering - San Jose, CA
LIC Motorsports - Novato, CA
Matt Basile Photography - San Jose, CA
DBTuned - Roseville, CA
Essence of Imagery - Sebastopol, CA
Primitive Racing - Portland, OR
These vendors stepped up and took on the financial heavy lifting that hosting this event requires.
I want to thank our generous hosts at Rock Wall Winery - their dedication and assistance were very much appreciated in allowing us to use their space, climb to the top of the building for an aerial shot or 5, use the aerial lift inside the hangar for a birds' eye view of the event, and creating a welcoming environment.
Our volunteers helped a great deal. Some of them came out on Saturday to mark up the parking lot, measuring out the parking spaces in order to form "Subaru" in the parking lot. With the assistance of Matt Basile Photography, we will be writing a small article and submitting it for inclusion into either Drive Magazine or Performance Drive Magazine for publication.
I want to thank from the bottom of my heart, my dear buddy STiFTW - Matt M. who saw the difficulties we were having and selflessly jumped right in. Reaching in to the flames to pull out the tri-tip, jumping on the grill in order to help save the day, he gave up his entire afternoon in order to help the cause. There are others who jumped in to help, Walker, Dang, Corey, Silke, Tetsu, Tammy, Paul from Primitive, and others who came in to help with our setback.
I have to again express my appreciation to Matt V. for hosting the car show. His efforts and time really made a difference in producing a higher quality show than I could have done myself.
The talent of DJ 2 Fresh - the mix was great (albeit loud), it was bumping from start to finish...
Paul Eklund from Primitive Racing. Driving nearly 700 miles to answer the call for help, he donated all the proceeds from the rides to the Red Cross Japan Relief Fund.
Finally, last but not least, we have thank all of the generous members who came out to support a good cause. Without you, BAM wouldn't be the success that it is.
It will be a day or two before we can calculate how much we raised for the Red Cross, but we will be sure to post it here.
