How fast were you going? Holy crap that's a lot of damage from a pothole.

well it wasn't just a pot hole. the pothole is what caused me to swerve into a curb going 10mph-15mph

i might have been going a bit faster but i really wasnt going too quick. i just hit it dead on at a very slight angle.

if you look at the top of the rim, you can see the breakage

Looks like you'll be contacting your ins. if you can't get some free/cheap replacement parts.

Ouch! Looks pretty bad. It might have to go to a frame shop to get double-checked and make sure that the pick-up points for the control arm haven't been effected. I'd be worried about the bearing mount at the top of the strut, too.

Bummer, dude.

Yes, you can.
If it's a city street, try the city dept first.
Take lots of pictures & be persistant.

How in hell do you manage to damage your car in all the new an inventive ways you do? Personally I don't think you actually sleep at night. You descend to a secret lab where you spend hours plotting new devious ways to cause damage to your car.

and i dont see how the city would be responsible, it wasn't a normal street its like a small backroad behind a shopping center.
