I've seen moded ones go for more.

It's an automatic, I'll give him $1,200 for it, not a cent more

a friend of mine has 2 supras he's selling sometime soon. Both are single turbo w/ greddy/hks front mount with about 50k miles on each. One has an upgraded transmission. Both are auto . Hes looking to get about 30k each. I've seen them sell for almost 50k. Check auto trader.

the reason they are so much is because they are so rare. If you offer him 1200 he will say go find another one and then your stuck searching for a while before another good clean Supra rolls up.

I've seen 'em in the mid 20's for 94-95's. They may not be as clean as that but with the money you save you could make it just as nice.

It was a joke. And there's pretty much no reason why the car should go for more what the original price was with 40K+ miles and an auto tranny.

.... only a collector would pay that much for it. Then he/she parks it in their garage and drives it twice a year.

.... that sort of price gouging sucks if you're just an average joe that wasn't able to buy a Supra when they were still new. The people who want Supras even more than the collectors are the people who can't afford that much money for a used car. Most hard core Supra fans are assed out if they want one in good condition.

yeah, supras are crazy expensive, i can't get over it. I think fast and furious maybe had something to do with this high price

cars of the same caliber back in those days aren't worth nearly as much...3000gt, 300zx, RX-7(sorta)

But yeah, can't believe its still so high. It only sold for like ~50's new right?

Seriously - it's like when I see a pink Elise or something... Why oh why - so close, awesome car, but then automatic? Bah...

The funny thing is I was working out a deal to buy a '97 MKIV just like that in that same color but M6 (duh) right before I went to the UK for 2 years, and they wanted $37k for it then - this was in '99.

The automatics are faster than the manuals because they don't lose the turbo spool between shifts -- dunno what happens when you go single turbo, though.
