well if you would have told me a week ago I would have let you get my 240SX for half that, think that would suit you pretty well, still a few left out there.

So whats the deal huck, chasing the dragon a little too hard again??

Heh. Luckily, I've never had a problem with any dragon. Or monkey for that matter.

I'm gonna say RX-7. I got one for super dirt cheap after I sold my suby and I'm not sure why I didnt just start off with one of these in the first place.

Whaaa? Why not? I bought a '95 L AWD Coupe last June for much less than that and it's a blast. Sure it's no STi but then, it cost about 1/15th the price, is AWD, does 100 just fine and is actually a nice car to drive. Gets over 30MPG and is about $350 a year to insure. as fun as it is with the EJ18 (I was honestly surprised) it would be silly with a WRX motor. 2420lbs. Of course I had to install a tach.. Haha..

Either way, if I had to find a car with $4k to spend, I would look around for an '87 300ZX Turbo but probably settle on a '91+ 240SX (coupe) that I could drive till I could afford an engine for it.

I'd let our '94 go for around that much, and it's one of the very few SVXii I've seen that doesn't have major tranny problems. Somehow I doubt the SVX is Huck's style though, as they're pretty porky and only come with 4EAT...

I've been looking at L wagons and Foresters, 95-99ish. Anyone know the weight difference between the L coupe and the wagon?

That seems really odd. I need to weigh the L and the RS I guess. Seems weird that a wagon with more glass, more doors (more metal and hardware) would weigh just slightly more than a coupe.

Here's what I would get...

'91-'94 Nissan Sentra SE-R. They are fantastic cars (I used to own a '92) and you can find them all day for $3000 or under, giving you enough extra to get a decent set of wheels and tires or other small mods.

The SE-R is a really fun car to drive, yet is totally under the radar of most people...unlike, say, all the Civics buzzing around .
