I think the best city to get gas would be Martinez etc... Refineries are right there.

Yuck, Costco gas was knock city for me. Even Safeway gas wasn't nearly as bad as Costco was.
I 2nd that, knock city it is. My MR2 SC knocks like crazy with the Costco gas. 76, Shell n Chevron seem to do pretty well, then going higher octane mix pretty much removes any knock issues.
