#!$*!@#U$)#!&$*! friggin DAD

so my dad always asks to drive my car. and i'm always reluctant because I mean...he's old. and old people suck. but i mean he's my dad, what the hell can I do about it. plus he has his own toy to play with (2005 acura RL)

anyways he curbed my freakin front end. I have a STi v2 front lip. it's 2 pieces and one of them straight up popped off, along with the bumper. the STi badge got pushed out cuz the metal screw got popped off. ARGH

so i'm lookin at the same lip online...for some reason the price of this part has gone up like 100 bucks from when I bought it a few years ago!

ARGH! i'm always gettin *****ed like this.

i honestly feel you.
a while back when i had my sti lip, i was at the park with my dad's truck.
my dad rolls up in my car at the park (to switch cars)
busts a three point turn, and straight up kills the bottom of my front lip.

yep, my dad did the same thing to my car awhile back. He just went around the block to see how the car felt and when he was parking along the curb he slightly scraped the side of a sti v2 lip as well. Was just a small scratch that i touched up though so it wasnt too bad.

Haha, when I bought my 2.5RS, my parents were like, "Manual!? We can't drive manual!" I just said, "Ha! That's the point!" Even though they helped me get my car, I still love 'em for that, and I'll pay back every cent as soon as I get some decent money, but man, I don't let them touch my car. Besides, it's a bit too crazy of a car for parents who drive a Toyota Avalon and a Toyota pick up.

My dad drives an Avalon, and when I showed him the WRX I'd just bought, he looked at it and asked me with genuine puzzlement: "Why would you want a FAST car?"

Then I let him take it for a spin up Angeles Crest (Hwy 2 in southern cal)

He came back with a big stupid grin and said "Wow, it really goes wherever you point it."

He hasn't asked any questions since... I think he gets it.

As for the unfortunate Mr. yayitzian:

Either your dad bought the car in the first place, in which case it's his to break.

Or he didn't, in which case you're still buggered, because he's your dad, and you are obligated to cut him some slack for not having killed you when you were 3.

It's a miracle that any of us survive...
