Yeah, this sucks NASIOC is down due to the Hurricane... please shed any input or info you have...

Well word around the campfire is that Nick was running the website from his house with 4 or 5 T1 lines. Nothing happened to his place but the phone company has no power to it's telco boxes to power the lines. Original estimate was 1-2 weeks.

I think that a site of that size should be colo'd in a professional datacenter but what do I know? Anyways I am sure it will happen now after this debacle....

Yeehaw, although this place is more relaxed. Kind of like Nasioc is Koots, and here is Humpys.

Crabbing is pretty dangerous, have a couple people I know do it.

A guy I used to work with did it back in the day. He made good money doing it but he hated it...He looks like he belongs on a fishing boat though. Think gordons fishsticks. He is a salty old bastard! Good guy tho..Great stories to tell....

yeah, heard they make GREAT money, but partially due to the hazards involved.

that and its like the gas workers, only working ~6 months of the year or so.
