I believe from the 34's ballbearing design it does spool up quicker, not as much of a difference as a 22 and a 34 but it is noticable.

Also the 34 is going to sustain higher boost pressures because of the ballbearing design.

I heard somewhere that the oil feed may be a little different too. I don't know that for a fact.

VF-30 is a good turbo, I assume that you have all the supporting mods such as Fuel pump, injectors, and a full TB exhaust right ?

Other than that are smaller things, cutting out (if any resonators in the exhaust), samco intercooler hoses, a ram air intake (yes they are helpful if you tune the car)

With those modifications you should be somewhere in the vecinity of your goal. If not an Xede and race gas will always do that trick

They show gains of about 8 - 10 hp. The stock IC hoses look like a maze gone bad and are ribbed throught making air flow hard to come by. Samco are smooth straight to hoses. More dense air means more HP.

If there is any chance that you could go and get your car tuned, take that up. Off the shelf maps although they wont hurt your car they will not give you all the power out of your car. If you get it tuned you will really see your individual car open up. Tuner companies never make maps for RAI because they have such varied results that to tune one for one car it would be totally different for another.

Cheers

The purpose of an intercooler is to cool the air going into the throttle body and also the turbo, creating more dense air, which provides for better explosion in the combustion chamber. Which makes more horsepower.

The intercooler hoses that are smoother rahter than flex monkey rigged hoses will let air flow more smoothly into your turbo. It will make a difference, I have seen on a dyno sheet 8-10. So they are truely no bull.
