vf22 info

I wanted to know all the pro's and con's people have to say about the vf22.
such as the amount of hp and whp you are making, how much turbo lag you have, and what mods you have done to run this turbo. Im really thinkin bout buying this turbo but i cant seem to find the info i want to know. so for everyone with a vf22 could you put your 2 cents in on the turbo and how you like it or if you dont like it etc. thanks

I have a vf22 in my 03 wrx, the turbo seems to kick in a little bit above 3k rpms (somewhere circa 3300 or so). When I was looking into which turbo to buy, I was comparing the vf22 and the vf34. It seemed that basically the 22 was capable of more hp, but had slightly longer turbo lag (300 rpm is what I was told), so I decided to get the 22 to get more hp and I figured that the turbo lag wouldn't make a huge difference because at the track, where I would hypothetically *need* the hp, I wouldn't be that low in the rpms for the lag to even matter.

naw a vf22 can't get u that kind of power. You need a bigger turbo 20g! for a wrx kick ***! but if you got an sti go for gt35, or sz55....fast turbos!

A VF 22 is 100% good for 300 whp with the right supporting mods. Hundreds of people can back it up.

I have heard of people making over 300 HP with a vf22 with PROPER TUNING and the supporting mods. You do not have to spend the big money on a rotated mount turbo unless you want high 300s. Just my $0.02 tho
