Turbo lag

Hey guys my 2002 wrx doesn't hit full boost till around 4500rpm is that normal? I guessing that the turb is on the way out I've had this car for a couple years its sorta always been like that

Nope not normal at all. Do you have any exhaust or vacuum leaks? 4500 is WAY too much lag on a TD04.

Yeah that's what I thought I put a new gasket in the intercooler it was leaking and a new intake turbo pipe was cracked n still feels sluggish and lag
