turbo kit or jdm engine swap for 00RS
At first i was sold on putting the 6-8 thousand dollars into getting the jdm impreza rs turbo 280 horsepower enine and swapping it over. But i've been serching around and can't find to many sorces with enough information on doing that. i've been told the engine swap ensures more boost but now i've looked at the ludespeed stage kit and i'm totally confused about what to do.
any opinions, experience, tips etc...?

I-Speed is a good source of info for swaps versus RS-T. I would not recommend getting JDM motors unless you have a very competent and trustowrthy source for both importing it and installing it.

if U where sold on the 6-8 grand on the swap why not just get a short block from I-speed the 2.4-2.6-2.8 all can be turbo'd. The 2.4 is like $4500ish U still have some cash left over for the FMIC and a turbo......U will need a stand alone ECU though say $750-$1000 for that and then get it tuned ............propa! I would recomend some good heads as well. Id say like a cool $10k by the time U would be done it all with labor. At lest that is what I am praying for cuz that is what I plan ............. O ya shoot dang 4-got and a big pipe exhaust

Why not a usdm ej20? Your car would still be smog legal and the aftermarket is huge for that engine compared to the ej25. If i could do it all over again i would do a swap instead of turboing a n/a motor. There are just too many problems assioated with it unless you have another car to drive or a lot of money.
