Aftermarket Forced Induction - Turboed factory NA engines Turbo EJ25! Who said that all Subarus are created equal? Aftermarket turbochargers on factory normally-aspirated engines (factory turbo engines have their own forums).

Supercharging? Is it an option?

So are you asking about superchargers, or just more info about modifications for your car?

You should really just google the supercharger kits for info

I suppose thats one way to go with boost though superchargers have their own issues. Your main concern will be that motor in your car currently. Dont plan on putting like 14psi on boost on the system. Typically going from NA to super'ed or turbo'ed your going to be in the 6-8psi range. Otherwise you run the serious risk of blowing the engine or if your lucky just a ring or head gasket.

I'll run a search myself and post links to supercharger kits

Editing since no reply yet.

No supercharger kits i could find really. Your better off with just sticking with a turbo kit. Honestly your going to have great results with the full kits available rather than customizing your own supercharger kit from scratch.

You could....Sell your RS and get a WRX. Thats basically what you want to do to your car anyway (supercharging title). You should have just stuck with getting a WRX in the first place.....I dont get why RS people always want to be a WRX....WHY!?! Ive seen pics where they have an RS and then they slap on the WRX badge and get a hoodscoop....now, thats a wannabe

do a full exhaust and header, intake. Good start for an N/A motor and not 5 k. Of course it's no turbo but that would help. I would also try posing in the correct forums. I see that you are new so i will give you the benefit of doubt. The N/A 2.5 section is a good place to start. Nitrous( low shot like 50) is also a possibilty. It won't do a lot but a small shot would help(For off the line and full throttle situations) Although filling a tank all thime can get expensive. I am not sure what you want to do. Do you want it to be fast or just quicker all the time. I think you should have went for a WRX.

IMO-
as much as i love superchargers(for mustangs)
they suck for subarus. if money is an issue... keep in mind that superchargers aren't exactly cheap either. turbos may cost more... but when you hit the 2+thousand mark i'd say stick with something proven and successful. (and pay that extra $)
if you look at what they are doing in competition... turbos rule.
