I'm getting into moding my fairly new WRX... I've got an exhaust system and I'll soon be putting on an up-pipe and most likely a Unichip...

I could care less about looks and such I just want performance, I know to do that I'll need a bigger turbo.

What is involved in upgrading the turbo. I know I'll need a bigger intercooler, but what about the fuel system, and the internals. what is involved in upgrading those. Also on the electronics end. will I need an EVC, an AFC?
what else needs to be upgraded when moving to a bigger turbo?

 

That depends on how much power you're talking about. An IHI VF22 would give you significant power gains, but your intercooler, fuel system, and timing might give you trouble. Check out i-speedusa.com, they'll have the info. you need, and give you trouble spots to watch out for. Good Luck
