junk yard turbo project..

Ok, so today at the junk yard I found a turbo volvo. it had a small AiResearch turbo on it. I was wondering if that would be a decent turbo for a very mild turbo build up? Thanks in advance.

You would do better asking in the yahoo group jyturbo.

just do a search for jyturbo on google and it should get you there.

Be prepared to give a little more info. Like what in the world you are looking to bolt it on to.

No, that's not a good turbo to use on a Subaru. The housing points the wrong way, and the exhaust flange is different. You'll end up spending more money to convert it than you would buying the correct turbo. Unless you know a good amount about tuning, I highly recommend a pre-made kit.
