Discrimination against 2.2 guys???
I noticed that the description under this forum targets the 2.5L crowd. There are people here also with 2.2L.
Can one of the mods make this correction of give us our own forum.
BTW, this is my first post here...

I-club has always leaned towards 2.5's... However 2.2's are cool too. In fact a guy here recently did a home turbo kit using alot of WRX pieces on his L.
Subaru's are subaru's They're all cool.

I like the Legacy 2.2L closed deck turbo motors. They kick ***. I just don't want to do the motor swap to put in a 2.2L when the RS-T I have now works just fine. Maybe if/when it blows I'll consider it though. That and a good Chalak synchro dog box.
Well since everything from the 2.5 fits on the 2.2 I don't think there's any discrimination (minus cams / clutch)
My 2.2 N/A is faster then some RS's out there right now anyway, when I'm done with the turbo it'll be just as fast as a WRX.
So more power to the 2.2!

yes the 2.2 is a good motor ,however a beefy turbo would do it some good, Im going to put one on in the spring.
BRY mentioned that the kits for the 2.5 will work with the 2.2, is that true? hope it is, I was hoping I would not have to do a full custom job.
any advice on a stage II or III would be helpfull ....thanks

2.2L NA
I have a 2.2L NA turbo and I had a 2.5L turbo the main differance is in the torque and High end flow. The 2.2 heads are horrible with their single exhaust port and the car kind of falls flat. If I blow my head gasket I plan on 2.5 heads.

2.2 Header
At Rallitek we have parts for 1.8 and 2.2 engines, The Borla headers for 1.8 and 2.2 single port are nice
We are also looking at the feasibility of an 2.2 conversion for the AVO turbo kit. It would most likely be a custom order and not something we stocked, locally we have a number of 2.2 Legacy motors that are turboed from the factory but tuned with intercoolers and MBC. Check out the News links at Rallitek.com, the Legacy project is pretty impressive already. e-mail me with any questions guys, I worked for Subaru for 7 years and know those engines inside and out.
Good Luck!
