CEL with boost controller
Something happened the other day while I was driving on the freeway. Hit the "Hi Boost" on my profec. Car started to accelerate in 3rd, shift into 4th, BOV sounds off. Continue to accelerate, BOV sounds off again, boost drops and I get a CEL. Car runs normally all the way home. I check everything under the hood and it seems fine. Two hours later start up the car and no CEL. huh?
Any idea on what happened? My boost gauge read .12 kPa. When this happened. I am assuming it spiked and the ECU freaked out and went into limp mode. Any ideas would help.

Car Info: 1993/2000/2001 GF4 mostly red
I'm not familiar with the profec, but it seems very likely that a spike is the cause. Do you have a code reader? You can probably still pull the code from the ECU if you haven't driven much since then.
