Boost Controller
Hey guys-
I just purchased an '02 JBP WRX over the weekend. Car was modded by the previous owner (A Doctor) who spent around 6k on the engine alone. Car runs very strong and tight. Right now I'm running the complete APS package: SR30 Turbo, Dual Entry TMIC, BOV, Intake, Exhaust, and Unichip. Peak power is 250whp @ 15psi.
I would like to see if I can extract more power from the turbo w/ a boost controller. According to the APS website, the SR30 can handle up to 340hp with the TMIC and BOV reflecting the about same numbers. Right now, boost can only be altered by taking the car to a shop and tuning the unichip. Will a BC help me tune the boost from the inside? What controllers do you suggest? Even with the controller I would still tune the car on a dyno so that I can remap the fuel/ignition. Any help will be great!
Thanks!
