What do you think about those?
I am starting to look at some wheels and so far here's what I like:
Rota Torque
Enkei CDR9
I am lookign for something that has a clean look and is relatively light-weight.
The 17" Rota Torque weigh close to 18 lbs. and the 17" Enkeis are about 19.
What does everyone think?
I am also very open to other suggestions within the same price range (not more than $180).
Oh and by the way, can anyone tell me how much the stock 16s weigh? I couldn’t find that.

The stock wheels weigh around 16.5 lbs. I really like the Rota Torques, especially the 17x8 which can fit 245/40/17 tires (or 235/45/17 on the more conservative side). For the money, you can't go wrong w/ Rotas. Subydude.com can give you pretty good deals on wheels/tire packages.

I'll have to second Soren's opinion on the Rota's. They are made to fit out Imprezas practically perfectly. As for Enkei's, they're not bad but I don't particularly this model, among others. For good value, you can't beat Rota.

I'm very happy with my Kosei K1-TS wheels (17x7); 13.7 lbs and $199.
Here's some pics, halfway down the thread:

The silver color is nice and bright; I opted for the Light Gray instead.

I hate it when I can't make up my mind about something like this.
I like the Rotas because they are plain but somewhat aggressive looking and from the pictures I've seen look well on Subies. I mostly like the Enkeis for the looks but they are about 1lb heavier then the Rotas.
And now I saw the Koseis that mailers has...those also look very good and damn...13.7 lbs for 17s........that's just awesome. The Koseis are a little over when I can afford now, although I wasn't going to buy wheels right away either.
I don't know....I am leaning towards the Rotas though but will have to do some more research about the Koseis too.
meilers, if you don't mind telling, where did you get the Koseis?

The ONLY place I have seen them is at Tire Rack; they are a 50 offset, 5-100 bolt pattern, a perfect fit. Looks to me like TR has an exclusive on them, as I checked the other major stores/sites for them.
You're not allowed to get them if you're in Arizona -- I've got dibs!

meilers, I am in Ohio so you'll be good.
Anyway, I did a little more research and it seems that Koseis are pretty nice wheels. I read that Spec Miata racers supposedly use them a lot. Subarureview, only has 1 reveiw on them but it's a 5/5.
I am now seriously considering those!

Here is a picture of my car with the Torques. I love them for pretty much the same reasons you do, simple attractive, wide. Where in Ohio do you live? I am in Cincinnati. If you are close and want to take a look at them in person let me know.

theworx, your car is exactly the same as mine!
The Rotas look pretty awesome though.
I am in Bowling Green, about 3 1/2 hours away, so it's not really close.
I really like the way that the Rotas look but I also like the Koseis, they also weight about 4 lbs less.
I don't know.....I like both. I'll probably end up getting whatever I can get a deal on.

I used to live in Toledo and know exactly where BG is. I actually will be coming up within the next couple weeks. My brother is in the hospital and need to come see him again. Maybe we can get together sometime.
The koseis are nice rims, but I thought they only cam in 17x7. That is too narrow as far as I am concerned. That would allow a max tire width of 225 if not 215. I am going to be switching off the tires I got with my rims to 245's soon. Can't do that with the Kosei.
BTW, it's only 2.5 hours to Cincinnati from BG.
