Car and Driver 1st test '08 WRX

Just got my Sept '08 Car and Driver and it doesn't look promising. They didn't like the styling much, liked the extra room, weight was the same as '07, performance very similar ( actually a bit less than '07). One of the reviewers who said he owned a WRX said he was a bit disappointed. He said "the car has become soft, insulated, and rather dull". Then he said "I hope the STI will uphold the WRX reputation". Hell, The STI damn well better beat the STI reputation or Subaru is lost in the performance market ,at least in my humble opinion. As an aside the factory still put those abominable RE92's on the car and the article noted the cornering roll was still excessive(good god when are they gonna spend $5.99 more on thicker sway bars?).They did list some improvements in interior appointments and sound reduction.Read it at www.caranddriver.com

crosses fingers that the STi will be nice, or the MY10 will be better

test drove an 08 last week at capital subaru with a potential buyer friend

From what I've read, Subaru is trying to appeal to a broader audience. ...look at the re-styled nose of the Tribeca... and now the watered-down WRX.

2012, planning it all out i see. Your car is still running strong so might as well keep it until it dies, which hopefully never happens.

when the engine goes it'll get swapped with an STi motor. Maybe when Im rich I'll have a stock sti daily driver and keep modding the wrx...and yes, I have it all planned out, I have a lot of free time at work
