Clear bra saved my car

I had a clear bra installation on my STI yesterday, and I am so happy that I did. I was speeding down the 580 freeway when a large cement truck decided to cut me off. All of a sudden, dust and specks of rocks started coming off the truck and I could hear it hitting all over my bumper. And from the sound of it, I was sure my poor car was in trouble. When I got home, I immediately checked out the damage and to my delight, there were no chips at all.

So if anyone is considering getting a clear bra, I would definitely recommend it. I had mine done by Sam at Premier Mobile Group / www.premiermobilegroup.com. The bra was virtually invisible, and best of all, it saved my bumper from any annoying paint chips.

Definitely. I'm not that great with electronics, but I'll have my husband take some pictures as soon as it stops raining around here.

As for thickness, the guy told me but I don't remember. However he did show me how strong this stuff is. He did an on site comparison test between Venture and 3M. He had me use my key to try to puncture the film while he was holding it up. I was able to poke through with my key on the 3m film. But with the Venture film, it just kept stretching and it never went through. What really sold me on the film is how clear this stuff is. From about 2 feet away, I couldn't even tell that it is there. I could tell that these guys are very detail oriented. When any dirt got into the film, they took their time to take it out. So for those in the Bay Area, I highly recommend Premier.

^^^Good call on the Venture brand film...I think you should post a review in the review section!

It's probably pretty thick...I forget the actual mils that it is measured at but think about the thickness of two pieces of paper.

Good idea... It would definitely be a good idea to post in the review section so that we could all keep our rides nice and clean. Thanks for the idea.

I've heard the same thing before I did some research on the Clear Bras that are out in the market. From what I found out, the yellowing occurs to some of the other brands. I've heard from many people that the 3M brand does have some yellowing. One of the reasons that I chose to go with the Venture clear bra is because it doesn't have that yellowing effect. Plus I got a lifetime warranty that says it will not bubble or yellow. Also, it also depends on the quality of the installation. This is what I've learned from my many hours or research on the products. I'm one of those people who is really picky when it comes to things I do to my car. But from the results I received from Sam at Premier, I think it is definitely money well spent.
