Exclamation California Exhaust

Welp, as you may have guessed it, Johnny Law has finally caught me.

In fact, I was speeding however I was going much faster than he "claims" he clocked me at. So my bet is that he pulled me over for how loud I am.

I have a GrimmSpeed Crosspipe, Invidia Upipe, Cobb Catted Downpipe and a Turbo XS Catback.
(Franken-exhaust I know)

In my speeding ticket he also got me for Modified Emissions and said I'd need to go see a Referee. (Ask the Ref > Home)

Now my question is, how much do I actually have to put back to stock? I'd assume the Downpipe isn't CARB (California Air Resource Board) legal. That along with my Upipe I figured I'd have to make stock again.

I'm unsure about the Crosspipe though.

Other than that, the only other modifications are an aftermarket radiator and Mishimoto Intercooler hoses.

Are there any other Californians out there that can make any recommendations for me?

Thanks in advance.

I would just suggest you put all the oem parts back on (exhaust stuff). I think the down pipe would be enough but if they check carefully, they will know. The refs are pretty educated on this kind of stuff

Yeah. Put all OEM back on.

When I got cited (many many many many years ago) for my equipment violations, the tech at the referee place went through everything pretty thoroughly. If you don't pass and have to come back (I went 3 times), you have to pay the ref fees AGAIN. Save yourself the trouble, and money, and just put everything along the intake and exhaust tract back to OEM.

The radiator doesn't matter because it's not emissions-related.

I have an OEM crosspipe you can have for shipping from the bay area, if needed. DPs can be borrowed local a lot of the time. Check the classifieds here and nastysock for OEM UPs.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I guess I'll just go back to stock to be safe.

I suppose it'll only cost me time and gaskets so better safe than sorry.

Does anyone in the Sacramento area know where I get get access to a lift? I used ramps and jack stands last time and it was a *****.

Not to mention my buddy had to bail after everything was out. I installed the Crosspipe, Uppipe and even Downpipe without a lick of help.

I can do that all over again but I'd prefer not to.
