Greddy catless DP questions

So I have the opportunity to pick up a greddy catless downpipe for a really good price but These downpipes don't come with the bellmouth design. I was wondering if anyone has modified one to have a dumptube. If so, how did u go about doing this? Is this worth the power gains or would a bellmouth just completely out-perform this design. Basically what I'm asking, is this a waste of my time and should I wait for another deal to come around?
