car shut off on the track

guys have a an 02wrx with a fully built 2.5. just started tracking my car.
here is the issue. my car is fine for a good 2 laps ( button willow ) when i start doing hot laps i can never finish 1 or 2 laps because my car dies on me. i have to unplug my brown harness and reconnect it and it starts right up again. it drives fine and only happens to me at the track. their are no fuel issues i have plenty of pressure. this has happened the last few track days. could it be a bad wire? i have not messed with anything and it only does it while im on the track.no check engine light at all before it shuts off. any information would be greatly appreciated.

Probably a loose ground on intake manifold? Check your engine bay area for any loose grounds that aren't tightened down.

Check all the manifold ground wires. Should be one on each side of the manifold that's held down by 12mm hex bolt. BTW Did your harness come from AT or MT car? AT wiring could be a nightmare. Also check the relays that are mounted on the steering column underside. There should be 2 relay boxes that plug in. Does it just click or tap noise during times of trying to start when it just shuts off?

my harness is from my MT car so its factory. i do not notice a noise at all it just cranks and will not start unless i connect the harness again .

i came across a link to all the grounds so i might try this and see if it helps next time on the track since it only does it at the track and not normal driving.

thank you so much for the help.

I re did all the grounds and the next auto x event my car shut off in me on my last lap. I'm not sure but I think its fuel related. I had a little more than 1/4 of a tank so maybe is it fuel slashing around or fuel starvation? Maybe I need a fuel tank or sure tank?

Fuel pump controller working? If you have one to borrow to test, that might be faulty.

Looked to be I was running to low of fuel and had fuel slash. I have to run at least 3/4 of a tank and I have no issues while on the track. Or upgrading to a surf tank.
