Just gave dude a ride to work. Cops talked with him last night and I told him I was the one to call them. Explained how I did not have a choice as he was not listening to me, he understood how dumb it was to drive the car. Told me he would not hold it against me that I called the cops.

I offered to replace the caliper, rotor, and pads if he can order the parts.

Edit: I also sent him a link to the parts he needs to order. He ain't the sharpest marble in the bag.

Excellent work! Glad it seems to be working out. You're a good neighbor. Feel free to move into my neighborhood anytime. I could use some extra hands for repairs

LOL then some of us didn't get girly little toys like marbles. We had BBguns and slingshots, and bow/arrow sets and real tools, and even a chemistry set as a kid.

Props to you for doing the right thing, and keeping the dialogue open with the neighbor. Also, props to your neighbor for realizing the situation (albeit late) and not trying to hold some grudge.

I ignored him like a fat chick in the club once he said marbles are for girls.
Maybe if his parents got him some to play with as a child, he wouldn't be missing some of his marbles.
