I've been to a half dozen of the shows at the cow palace and that was easily the craziest I've ever seen it. F'n tv cameras outside and all. Found a sweet lil Emerson Commander partially serrated for edc and restocked on powder... other than that it was a total ****show!!!

I think a lot of us (firearm owners in general) have been saying that for a LONG time already "Assault Rifle" is just a bandwagon term that politicians can use. However, I actually DO agree that in most cases, the "average" person really doesn't need an AR. Does that mean they need to be banned? No.

yeah, sometimes that works too. lol
but i understand their fears. guns can be dangerous and can do lots of harm if placed in the wrong hands. but most people don't see the sporting and recreational culture and so they just think that the world will be better off without them. it's a closed minded view on things for sure...ironically most of the people that are against guns are "open minded" people.
i am against bans...but i am for punishment and ideas that will try to keep guns out of the wrong hands that don't limit the 99% of gun owners that enjoy firearms and cause no harm so others (unless provoked...you can't take the basic freedom of protecting one's self away from people).

Agreed..
I have no problems with "better" background checks and what not. Why? Because im a responsible gun owner with nothing to hide.
I just think its BS that because of the last 2 shootings, one of the firearms used was an M4 variant rifle.. ok, so what? 80% of yearly gun related crime are commited with semi automatic handguns, but they dont care to try and ban those? Why the ar's?
I have way too many feelings about this to type from my phone lol and i dont want to turn thos thread into anti guncontrol BS

Gun control has NEVER been about safety. It has always been about control. Over you, and over me.
How a politician stands on the Second Amendment tells you how he or she views you as an individual… as a trustworthy and productive citizen, or as part of an unruly crowd that needs to be lorded over, controlled, supervised, and taken care of.
