Does this replace number 13 (on the lower right hand side) in the pic below?

Edit: Linkified the Pic so that its easier to view this thread. The picture is a breakaway of the transmission linkage.

Kevin M 04-19-2005, 10:35 PM Good stuff. :) Look for my order soon.
symby 04-20-2005, 06:12 AM I still have to get my shifter bushings installed. I'll check out this other bushing when I do that install and its almost guaranteed that'll put one of these on my list of things to get.. :D
kenji815 04-20-2005, 01:05 PM what would this bushing do? would it stiffen and make the throw of the shifter even more precise?
i'm already running KB SS and bushing..
+1 for kartboy they sell good stuff.
hezlok 04-20-2005, 10:48 PM yeah what kenji815 said
subabu05 04-21-2005, 12:01 AM I'd also like to know the answer please. Bump for kartboy's good replacment for the oem godzilla pos bushing

ipozestu 04-25-2005, 05:55 PM What does it do?
808imprezaRS 04-26-2005, 12:47 AM When will i receive my package for Jonathan Hamachi?
Killian Maynard 05-06-2005, 09:56 PM +1 more for what difference this makes?
lovesmysuby04 05-07-2005, 12:28 AM The install is not hard at all only a 20 to 30 min job. Stiffer shifter feel. No more play with the old rubber bushing. Works well with the other kartboy shifter bushings and short shifter.
spelk3 05-07-2005, 12:52 AM Easy install (as long as you don't cross thread and break off a bolt)...
The rear KB shifter bushing seems to give an even more solid feel to the shifter than just the front KB shifter bushing alone. These just go that extra step, a little tighter shifting. The combo is great. I wouldn't do the rear bushing without doing the front also.
so the front is just the regular kartboy shifter's bushing?
SubySal 05-08-2005, 11:04 AM Hey! I want one! I checked the site, but it shows out of stock. :( When are more coming or where else can I get one?
CCPro 05-10-2005, 11:52 PM does this really do anything?? I'd like to know.. becaues I love the ss and the front(original) and would like to know if this would remove more of the play..
I'll have to go under the car thisweekend to see if there's is play there
Peaty 05-16-2005, 11:49 PM were working( when i say that i mean Peaty:)) is working on them right now.

Tom,
I'd like to know if we can get a cheaper price for group buy on Kartboy products. J/W.
tom@kartboy 05-26-2005, 04:38 PM Hello
Prices are set for all the dealers. kinda like Apple products. We find it a lot better to do business this way. No one will be undercutting each other and running others out of business. We feel that our pricing is more than fair for everyone.
Thanks
Tom
Deride 05-26-2005, 11:50 PM Awesome, just ordered one up.

SubySal 05-30-2005, 07:31 PM Hey Tom, got it in the other day. I already have the short throw and shifter bushings and it still made a noticable improvement. A little harder to install than I thought, but not too bad. Thanks again :) BTW a friend who went through the Russell Race School said it felt like one of their cars... pretty good compliment I think.

Glad you like the shifter setup :)
now when are you going to take the car to driving school? :)
Tom
SubySal 05-30-2005, 09:45 PM Cool
now when are you going to take the car to driving school?
Tom
Easy, Tom :) Actually I drove it at a 2 day auto-x this weekend. I just need to sort out the rear camber and ya know stop hitting cones :( and I think the car will be pretty competitive in STX. My raw time was only about 2 seconds off the leader. So who needs driving school ;)
ipozestu 05-31-2005, 07:53 AM Placed order, Bump for Da K-boy
subabu05 05-31-2005, 12:54 PM I installed my kartboy rear shifter bushing this weekend, and it's a great shifter upgrade especially with the front bushings installed too. When you install make sure you put in the passenger side of the bushing first because otherwise it's a pita to get that bad boy in there.
When I did a test run the shifting felt much more "clean/precise" shifting into reverse, which used to be a little testy at times, now just drops right into place. Bump for another great product from kartboy!
Deride 05-31-2005, 02:58 PM Extremely fast shipping, my sister and I both got ours today. He even included free candy! hehe. Thanks again.
Deride 06-01-2005, 08:17 PM Installed it today, very great improvement. Removed the rest of the spongy feeling after only installing the front bushings. The only thing is getting around the damn heatshield/exhaust on a 2.5rs is a pain!

Yeah its not impossible but it takes a little manuvering :)
Bump!
SubySal 06-05-2005, 05:39 PM Hey I didn't get any free candy! (sniffle, sniffle) :(
tom@kartboy 06-05-2005, 05:45 PM Hey I didn't get any free candy! (sniffle, sniffle) :(
HEHE

Tom
SubySal 06-05-2005, 05:48 PM No, No... it's not necessary I'll get over it.... eventually ;)
Deride 06-05-2005, 11:09 PM mmmmmmm candy...... candy + smooth shifting = goodness.

SubySal 06-06-2005, 04:08 PM I know you guys are trying to rub it in, but it won't work because I got another Kartboy order in today and it came with candy, yummmm... :D
keirnna 06-06-2005, 07:03 PM I ordered mine today. I wanted to order more than I did, but I'm waiting on cash.
tom@kartboy 06-10-2005, 11:05 AM I ordered mine today. I wanted to order more than I did, but I'm waiting on cash.

TTT!
mwahaworld 06-15-2005, 07:51 PM woohoo! got both front and rear bushings today! oh ya, and the candy too :)
suby25 06-23-2005, 06:40 PM I got my rear shifter bushing a couple days ago and I tried to install it today.... to no avail.... I can get one bolt in but not the second... it doesn't matter which side I try first. Is there any trick to it? It seems unnecessarily difficult... FWIW I have a 2000 RS. Thanks for the help.
mwahaworld 06-23-2005, 10:00 PM there's no trick. what i did is i put the left one in and turn a few turns but don't tighten it, and i press the right side of the bushing against the metal and put the right bolt in and tighten it first, then the left side. but i guess either side works. you can also try to look up in http://www.scoobymods.com/
good luck installing.
suby25 06-24-2005, 10:11 AM Finally got the bushing in with a little help. Definately an improvement over the sloppy stock feel. Paired with Cobb's SS and front bushings this really completes the setup. There's almost no free play in the shifter, and the shifts feel very precise and clean. Well worth the money! Way to go Kartboy!
tom@kartboy 06-26-2005, 01:53 PM Bump!
it looks like there is a little tolerance stack on the holes from SOA. The bushings will fit, it just might take a few extra min to get it lined up correctly.
Happy Shifting
Tom
