Well, not to take away from your point that ignorance and hatred is wrong, but at least they don't hide their positions. I see nothing wrong with SOME of their positions, too, such as stopping illegal immigration. Heck, I WAS for slowing legal immigration until I realized how our economy depends upon LEGAL immigrants.

There are many real "hate" groups operating in this country, but they keep their true agendas hidden. The ACLU comes to mind. In a society where it's ok to have any ethnic club, unless you're white that is, what does that say about anti-white hatred? Ever heard about a scholarship only for white males? Me neither.

If a white man kills a homosexual or person of another race, it's a hate crime. Funny, it's not a hate crime the other way around.

No I was specifically talking about people who are victims of crime based soley on race or sexual preference. The example you give is extremely weak because he was not gunned down cause he was white he was gunned down because he is an officer of the law and was probably going after a criminal. (the minority in this case) And yes white people can be victims of hate crimes if the crime is committed soley based on the persons race or sexual preference.

Actually the statistic is around 1.6 to 1 white offenders versus offenders of other races as taken from the 2003 FBI Uniform Crime Report (found here http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/03hc.pdf careful it is a pdf doc so it takes a second to come up.) So really the fact that more whites are accused of hate crimes is really due to the fact that there are simply more "whites" in the overall pool of people. Sure in pure numbers whites are accused of more hate crimes but proportionally the numbers don't add up in your argument.

These points we agree on for the most part. You cannot determine motivation in all cases. But in the ones I listed it is pretty clear cut. Of course people will get prosecuted for hate crimes when it really wasn't . Mistakes are made because people are human. Just like there are most likely a few innocent men sitting on death row waiting to die that were wrongly convicted. That doesn't mean that everyone on death row is innocent and it doesn't mean that everyone prosecuted for a hate crime was wrongly prosecuted. There are never any absolutes.
