I've got an egg timer and my warranty is just dandy. Mods will only affect your warranty if they are the cause of the problem.

turbo timers will not void warranty unless you have some hick idiot person at the dealership. if anything it helps the car. uness the turbo timer has a built in boost controler. then that will void warranty on engine

For the record, turbo timers are not required with the stock turbo. Actually, they're not required at all, however, idling the car to cool the turbo is not required on the stock turbo.

Moving to warranty forum.....

just get the Clifford alarms...they have a built in turbo timer. when you feel like using it, you enable the engine to stay on for a preset time. when you don't, it's just an alarm. it's a great feature and it looks no different from any other alarm (except the relay). that's three birds with one stone!
