HKS SSQ BOV for the STI..

does the HKS BOV will make the car lose power?? can any one tell me...

if it's not tuned right, it'll make you bog & hella rich between shifts. tuned right it works just fine. i have done back to back tests with mine and it feels the same as stock bypass when i shift. but let the bov hate comence

do your homework and sell that BOV-
I had it on my WRX and took it off immediately after installation-
If you absolutely must have a BOV, then I highly recommend the GFB (go fast bits) Stealth BOV. It is fully adjustable, so you can quickly eliminate any backfiring/hesitation/idle issues. Also, you can decide how much air to vent and recirculate. Check out scoobysport.com for more info.

ill find out this friday, cause i just re-installed the stock bypass valve...
I ran 13.30 @ 100.68MPH last friday with an HKS SSQV

The Blitz Dual Dive Blow off Valve is great its not to loud and not to soft. It comeswith a optionalfilter incase you are thinking of going off-roading. its nice polished aluminumand a great finsh. The flang on the blow off valve is very strongly built and very reliable. no leakage or lag, it does let go unless you really push it , its like a stealth bov .

Properly Tuned...

Hey Munky...

Can you please shed some light on what you mean by "Properly Tuned..." What did you do to make your HKS SSQV work properly?

I have the APS BOV (50/50) and it works great...I use the AVO Short Ram Intake...With the short ram, I can really hear my turbo spooling up and it definately makes the bov louder...if you have a recycling one like the GFB hybrid or APS...

I have access to a HKS SSQV and was going to try it out (for the sounds)...however with all this discussion about bogging and running super rich...I'm not sure I want to even hassle with it...

Please inform us all on how you tuned your engine or bov?
