Question need some advice as to which pads to buy

Hi everybody,
I am in need of new brake pads for my 02 WRX and since you guys are the experts I thought I would ask some question.
1)What pads would you guys recomend for everyday street use, sometimes aggresive braking, never taking the car to the track, rotor friendly?
2)At tire rack they say that pads are different for different months of production on the 02 WRX, how do I find out when mine was produced?
3) What does bedding-in mean, and would a mechanic do this during a routine brake pad change?
Thanks

If your looking for some everyday street use, try the Carbotech Bobcats. There a direct replacement of the OEM Pads. Not to mention the number one selling pads for Subaru's!!

Bedding in is the process of wearing off the initial layer of pad material, fully seating the pads in the caliper, and depositing a little pad material onto the surface of the rotor. Basically, you just do a few (5 or 10) gentle stops from 35mph or so, and then let the pads cool. The mechanic at the shop might or might not do it, so it's best to ask them if they bedded in the pads. If not, it only takes a few minutes.

I have the Axxis ultimates and am very pleased with their braking over stock , but these are not for the clean freaks out there.
They dust a bunch but a good coat of wax on the wheels helps for a quick clean up.
The mechanic who walked me through my install said most modern pads be used omitting the bedding process , but I still gingerly made sure they were bedded prior to smashing the whoa pedal just for kicks.
I've heard nothing but good about those bobcats , so those may definitely be worth a try.
