Hi there, just got an 05 STI over the weekend and want to say hi. It is silver with silver wheels. Seemed like a well built car and comfortible to drive in. A little slow for me but I will eventually change that. I will break in the first 1000 miles then it will be my wife's daily driver.

My daily driver is a 98 Corvette with Heads/cam/bolt-ons and Nitrous. N/A was around 380 rwhp before I added more crap to it. I am guessing around 400~420rwhp now plus the TNT 150 shot. The 150 shot is still not tuned yet so I haven't sprayed. My best time on that thing was 12.5@115 with a horrible launch on street tires. So install more power stuff, and got Drag radials. At the track friday night, the car dead hooked and I snapped the output shaft. lol mullet power.

I notice some difference on the 05 comparing to the 04 STI. 05 has automatic climatic control, radio with 6 disc in dash changer, wheels are wider at 17X8, the dash is different, the center console is different and the seats are narrower. Anybody know other changes?

So I lurked around and trying to find some info. But found nothing I was looking for so I am gonna ask some questions:

1. Where do you install boost gauge on 05? On the A-pillar or on the dash? How much is the OEM one or should I go aftermarket?

2. How good is the OEM bass box? I like the fact it fits under the seat. Wife needs all the grocery space she can get.

3. Where can I get the best floor mats? Anybody know any canadian dealership I can call? My interior is blue.

1. the oem one mounts on the steering column cover. It will be cheaper to get an aftermarket one.

2. when i had one it was pretty good, and yes its out of the way under the seat which was good.

3. there was a thread somewhere about ordering cdn ones. keep looking around.

how much was the mark up

Did it through fleet manager, no mark up. But he won't budge on the price, I couldn't even let him drop a dime...

It really is slow compared to my car, but I am sure it will be changed in about a year or two. I notice the hood and rear wing vibrates quite a bit, is this normal?

Watching the bounce of the scoop is one of the cool things about the car!

The scoop vibration is normal, as is the wing, if you look behind you at 90+ you'll see that the wing even flexes downward
