I just got in the mail a letter from Subaru. It states that 1998-2002 2.5 vehicles need to be treated with a special coolant conditioner to prevent the headgasket from blowing. The letter states that it will be covered under warrenty but if the car is taken in promptly, the head gaskets will be covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles.

The letter also states that if you have had head gasket failure you may be entitled to reimburcement.

Not sure if this is old news but for us RS guys it is important.

Yeah, i'm going to take my car in after i get it back from the body shop... I think I'll have GB flush the system first, and then i'll go treat it.
