I think it would be "Cool" to have a TT wrx. However i dont see too much benefit from it.

i think it would be awesome. i always wanted to do it and try it but never found a twin turbo kit and could never afford it. if you try it please let me know how it is. why dont you think there would be any benefit?

I could be a benefit and it might not. Sometimes one turbo is better than two. You will see alot of Toyota Supras that come stock with tt but when they start pushing big numbers they drop the second turbo and just go with one big turbo. I don't know the real reasoning behind it, but sometimes tt is not the best.

It all depends on the size of the turbo .... Twin scroll turbos are better at giving you power in the low, mid and high range. But from what I have heard they won't give you as high a power as a large single scroll in the higher rpm range. Again it all depends on the size of the single scroll turbo ... smaller ones eg: the one that comes stock on the WRX spools up fast in the lower/mid rpm ranges (once you do some exhaust work) but lacks in power in the higher rpm range. It will give you more power than the twin scroll in the low and mid range. Then again going with a larger single scroll, takes away power from the lower and mid ranges and moves it to the upper rpm ranges while also giving you higher peak HP. Its all about give and take .... due to their inherent design twin scroll are not as efficient as the single scroll counterparts in providing power at a certain rpm range but you get power through all rpm ranges .... I'ld take that over a single scroll any day :) again its personal preference ....

urrr twinscroll and twin turbo is a completely different thing...

back to topic,
it all depends on what you want to do and what you can afford to do.
Legacy twin turbo was meant to be gentle instead of sportiness of Impreza.
It is sequential twin turbo, which means its got 2 small turbos and at low rpm only one is working and secondary turbo kicks in at high rpm.
Subaru decided to go back to single turbo on the latest Legacy due to the technological improvement on single turbo.
I think single is better in performance but I think twin turbo is not a bad idea if its done correctly.

I have heard the same thing from a couple of people. The twin turbo won't fit on the US WRX. Something about the fenderwall causing a problem with fitting the turbo.

So the twin turbo idea sounds good in theory, but won't work based on fitting issues

if you really got the dalla dalla bill yall :D FATT building a twin turbo kit for an rs you could buy the kit and change crossmembers to fit the downpipe

the steering rack is on the wrong side to fit the twin turbo motor the only way to bolt in the factory setup is to make the car right hand drive

Twin turbos are a waste of time. Hell, everyone ends up dropping them, Supras, Rx7's, B4 Legacy's. About the only car it works well in are the 911TT's because they use the parallel arrangement which a Subaru has zero space for, nor does it put out enough air per side really to make it effective.

You'd be better served with a ej257 shortblock and a vf34 or bigger turbo.
