View Full Version : Where to go from here? (mods for 2.5 RS)

I've had my 2.5 RS a couple years and slowly have been adding performace parts as I have been able. So far I have:

ApeXi N1 Exhaust
AEM Short Ram Intake
Eibach Pro Series Springs
KartBoy Short Shift Kit
NGK Iridium Plugs

My question is where to go from here? I've seen lightweight flywheels, turbo kits etc. So I am wondering what else I can do to increase performace etc and what benefit each part will have.

Thanks for any incite you may provide.

I just check out COBB'S web site had some cool things to dream about for the RS.

A flywheel and street clutch will help your accelleration out a bit. Next step is pretty much turbo. I'm a N/A fan myself, since I can't afford a turbo, lol.

I heard that a grounding kit doesn't do much on a Subaru. If you can, please send a site with dyno info. I wanted to invest in the Hyperground, but now I'm just confused.

For grounding. I built my own using 4 gauge audio wire and gold connecters. I noticed a clean-up in idle, brighter headlights and less stereo drain at high volume. The acceleration seems to have smoothed out *marginally*. Hope this helps.

Maybe COBB cams. And i just did the grounding mod myself. Seems to have helped. And please don't buy a kit, that's ridiculous.
