With spring approaching, there's going to be mud everywhere and I will once again have to show truck owners how to enjoy the mud. Only problem is that last spring I had mud caked on the roof of my car till june. It scratched the hell out of my car when I washed it off. It was all up and down the car (not to mention inside somehow). I want to get some mud flaps this year and hopefully solve that annoying problem partially. Subaru sells mud flaps but appearently they don't fit the front well or something like that. Where can I get a set that will sit and look nicely. I don't want to get one of those kits from pepboys that looks like a kit form pepboys.

Have you tried searching the forums? I believe I remember seeing something about mudflaps that you cut from a pattern... They looked nice IMO, but they may remind you of the "pep-boys" kits you speak of. The oem mudflaps I have on my GF dont seem to do much because they are fairly small- so they might not fit your needs.

You must've been trying hard to impress the trucks, cause how the hell do you manage to get dirt inside your car?

I honeslty wonder myself how dirt gets inside the car. the truckers aren't hard to impress, they all thik they are badazz with their little trucks going around "muddin" and out of nowhere comes this little black grocery getter completely sideways throwing around huge rooster tails of mud. Too much fun.

I got mud and water in my car through a hole in my firewall that I had wires running through. Maybe you have a hole :) .

got an '04 wrx and no one makes mudflaps for it yet!

appearently prodrive will be making them sooner or later

i got a kit from pep boys and it looks like a kit from pep boys. so what, it looks like a simple black flap extension of the wheel well lining. cost $6 and all of 10 minutes to put it on. doesn't help much though, i think you need really big flaps to make any differendce

best solution I have seen so far and it's probably what I will do and should have done already...

by the ones for the ts....this is for 04 by the way.
the back ones fit perfect. Then you have to dremel the front ones to fit the side skirts. I saw a thread for it I'd like to find it again. They didn't do this but I probably will........get some rubber weather seal type stuff and put it around the part you dremeled...will smooth the edges and take away some of the small mistakes you make while dremeling and won't scratch your painted skirts as much.

I need to find that thread. I think they go for about $50.

Is there a cheaper place to get the prodrive ones...180.00 is re-goddamn-diculous for flaps.

Maybe try contacting some UK subaru dealers and see if they will ship out here. I would be surprised if you could do much better, though.
