Looking for simple upgrades to do during 60000 mile service
My car is nearing 60000 miles. I'm only getting 18mpg right now. My car is stock except for a K and N drop in filter. Just looking for some upgrades I can do while getting it worked on like: spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter etc.

lightened pulley is good horsepower for its cost.
sorry to ride on ur post, but how often do ppl usually replace their sparkplugs, fuel injectors, and sparkplug wires? or is that all done for u during routine maintenance checkups... I've done all mine at a local dealership thus far if that helps in any way. Oh and my car is at 45k miles now.

Check and if applicable replace the the Oxygen Sensors. In closed loop (engine warm) the sensor should fluctuate between 0.1 to 0.9 volts. Engine cold or open loop it will read a steady 0.1 to 0.2 volts. If the oxygen sensor takes, say more than 2-3 minutes to reach a fluctuating 0.1 to 0.9 volts or never reaches those numbers from cold engine to warm engine, replace the sensor. .
